To fulfill a minor in Modern Greek Studies, students must complete a minimum of six (6) courses totaling eighteen (18) credits, with the following overrides:

  • 01:489:201 and 01:489:202 (i.e., two semesters of second-year Modern Greek) are required.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to determine if they may attain equivalency credit for parallel work completed elsewhere, or if they may “place out” of this requirement via examination. 

  • at least three (3) courses must be at the upper division level (300-400 level courses).

First year Modern Greek courses (i.e., 101:489:101, 102) are prerequisite courses.  They must be completed, or equivalency proven, before admission to the minor program.  These courses do not count toward fulfilling the minor requirements.
