Student Events.
Some details have not been finalized, but I wanted to give everyone
advance notice of two important events at Rutgers this spring:
On Monday, April 7, His Excellency Andreas Kakouris, Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus to the
United States, will visit Rutgers University--New Brunswick. We await
details of His Excellency's schedule; look for further announcements soon.
On Sunday, May 4th, the Hellenic Cultural Association of Rutgers
University will host an Enosis (Unity) Dinner and Dance. This event,
which raises funds for the Modern Greek Studies Program at Rutgers was
held for the first time two years ago, and was an enormous success. I
hope to see you there.
Both of these events are being organized by the Hellenic Cultural
Association under the leadership of Stathis Theodoropoulos. Kudos
(again!) to these students whose commitment to matters Hellenic has
enriched the Program immeasurably.
